Air Rifle

BSA R10 SE Super Carbine – Accuracy Test

 November 25, 2020

I’ve always enjoyed learning new things, it’s the same with shooting an air rifle. This short video (under 2 minutes) is of yours truly shooting a target in my garden.

https://youtu.be/xBAJCTxXRrI

The distance between the shooter and the target is only around 16 meters or 17.5 yards.

My initial thoughts are, the rest is a bit makeshift and when looking through the scope the target jiggles about or seems to, I can only guess that this is my heartbeat!

The scope used is an MTC Viper Connect 3-12X24 AMD. It has a short eye relief. Due to its focal length, I don’t get too much blurring at different distances. This means I can set it up for 10 times magnification and leave it there for most distances I’m likely to shoot at.

My current thinking is to have a bash at HFT. I know I’m going to have a problem with the kneeling position because of a knee problem many years ago, but we shall see.

I’d encourage you to watch the 2-minute video, to see how this went for yours truly and perhaps give me some helpful tips by commenting below.
Many thanks

Steve

Single Handed Backhand

To all those who aspire to a quality single-handed backhand, this lesson is worth a watch. Notice how the stance is closed at the point the ball is struck and how far round the student’s body is to the back fence. One of the commenters said; “Such a great lesson. Safin’s follow through question is
